Odyssey House is a series of therapeutic sessions combined with a communal / safe house environment. The program encompasses a series of phases in which residents are reintroduced to
a normal, drug-free society.

The first step, genesis, is exactly as its name-sake. At this point residents come in realising that their life has been too affected by drugs or alcohol to maintain a normal standard of living. This is a very harsh and impacting phase as residents delve into the cause for their addiction to drugs, and must confront it in order to progress.

With each sequential step residents learn to deal with their issues and confront society once more, although the theme of a safe environment is always used to reassure them of their sanctity. Odyssey House is a haven, not a prison, so residents are free to exit the program whenever they please, however to return they will have to be reprocessed & reassessed.
